Legal Guide

It can be overwhelming when a person is diagnosed with a form of dementia, both for the person themself and their caregivers. Many issues and questions come up, not least of which are legal questions and decisions.

Through generous funding from the Texas Bar Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County has created this guide for those with dementia and their caregivers. It includes commonly asked questions, top mistakes to avoid, a legal checklist, and other resources.

If you have other questions, please call the Alzheimer’s Alliance at 903-509-8323 to set up an appointment with our social worker at no cost to you.
